barn shoot by luke kurtisluke kurtis is a Georgia-born interdisciplinary artist focusing on the intersection of photography, writing, and design. Self-portraiture is an ongoing element of the artist’s photography as well as an interest in art/architecture, nature/abstraction, and digital collage/video. His project Jordan’s Journey uses genealogical and historical research as a device to explore the idea of personal and collective memory. His related articles and photography have appeared in Georgia Backroads. Bookmaking is a primary activity as it fuses the visual and the literary beyond gallery walls and into the hands of viewers. He lives and works in New York City’s Greenwich Village.
